Our Story
The St. Margaret Mary Lomita Fair offers a weekend full of fun, rides, games, fantastic food, continuous live entertainment, and much more in a wholesome and safe environment.  The Lomita Fair originated in 1982 as a small fundraiser to benefit the many programs of St. Margaret Mary Church and School.  It has since become a popular annual event and one of the largest and longest running Fairs in the Los Angeles Area.  The Lomita Fair is a fundraiser for St. Margaret Mary Church, School,  and its various community outreach programs.

​St. Margaret Mary School, in Lomita since 1951, currently serves over 260 students in grades K-8 from throughout the entire South Bay region, including Lomita, Torrance, San Pedro, Harbor City, Carson, Wilmington, and Gardena.  St. Margaret Mary School is fully accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.  It has received the highest accreditation possible.  About 90% of the graduates from St. Margaret Mary move on to Catholic High Schools in the area such as Bishop Montgomery, Loyola, Mary Star of the Sea, Saint Anthony,
​Saint John Bosco, Saint Joseph, and Notre Dame  Academy.
Since the 1920's, St. Margaret Mary parish has been a presence in the South Bay area.  Today the Parish serves over 5000 Families.  Our efforts to help those in our community and the surrounding areas is hopefully brought to light in our yearly offering of the Lomita Fair.  As a Catholic, Christian Community of Faith, we hope you will join with us as we serve our neighbors. Through daily Mass, Sacraments, and Spiritual Direction, we hope to let our little light shine in our daily lives.
